ABOUT NSFW
Neil Symons Fitness & Wellbeing began as a vision for a private, appointment-only personal training environment for people who value in-person coaching and genuine human connection away from busy commercial gyms.
If you’ve watched NSFW, you’ll know it’s already too busy to remain a solo act.
If you’ve seen us together, you’ll know this was inevitable.
Business partners, friends & infectious energy, together bringing you fitness the way it should be:
✨ Intelligent & Structured
✨ Accessible & Genuinely Enjoyable
✨ Packed with Energy & Accountability
We train you properly, we laugh with you loudly, and we definitely don’t take ourselves too seriously. But when it comes to getting you real results? We’re 100% committed.
Before we work with anyone, we make sure the vibe is right - the perfect coach-client chemistry can change everything. Sessions with us are all about training hard, real talk and leaving lifted.
We’re expanding our offerings to serve you even better:
🤩 Continuing limited private, in person PT
🤩 Launching hybrid coaching to fit your schedule & budget - mixing in person with online.
Plus community, education, apparel & performance products to come.
More formats. Same standard. Same infectious NSFW energy.

ABOUT JOAO
I'm João, co-owner of NSFW — and, depending on who you ask, the (slightly) more lively half of the operation 🙂
Neil and me have an energy that we want you to be part of.
I’m genuinely proud to be building this alongside Neil. What started with two friends with the same standards around training has turned into a partnership, a brand… and, most importantly, something people actually enjoy being part of.
If you’ve seen any of our content, you’ll know the dynamic — there’s a lot of energy, a lot of back and forth, and a lot of fun.
Fitness has shaped a huge part of who I am. Not just physically, but mentally — how I approach challenges, how I stay disciplined, and how I keep showing up even on days where I don't feel like it.
For me, training isn’t just about looking good — it’s about building confidence, self-respect, and consistency that carries over into every part of your life. And when you’re around the right people, that standard naturally rises.
I qualified as a Level 3 Personal Trainer over 10 years ago, and since then I’ve built and run multiple businesses. But in everything I’ve done, the constant has been people — motivating them, challenging them, and helping them realise they’re capable of more than they think.
That’s exactly what we’ve built with NSFW.
Everything we do is programmed properly, progressed properly, and delivered properly — but just as importantly, it’s something people actually look forward to. Because between the two of us, we make sure you’re challenged… and we make sure you enjoy it.
The reality is — the best programme in the world doesn’t work if you don’t stick to it. And people stick to things they enjoy, feel part of, and feel supported in.
So yes, expect structure. Expect progression. Expect results.
But also expect our energy, a bit of noise, and both of us making sure you get that “one more rep” — even when you’re absolutely convinced you’re done.
Through NSFW, we want to help people become stronger, more confident, and more consistent — not just for a short-term transformation, but as a lifestyle that actually lasts.
We’ve started with private 1:1 personal training — but we’re building something much bigger.
And when you train with us… you’re not just getting a programme.
You’re getting both of us in your corner.

ABOUT NEIL
I know what it feels like to not feel comfortable in your own body — because I spent years there.
I didn’t grow up being “into fitness.”
If anything, I spent my first 30 years actively avoiding it — bullied at school, intimidated by sport, and never quite feeling like I belonged in that world.
Well into adulthood, I tried everything you’ve probably tried too. Slimming clubs. Points. “Sins.” No carbs. Low fat. Shakes. Detoxes. Apple cider vinegar. Keto. Atkins. Even those electric ab pads that promised a six-pack while you sat on the sofa (they didn’t).
I chased every shortcut going — my weight going up and down, my confidence going with it.
If you’re reading this thinking “that sounds familiar” — you’re definitely not alone.
Everything changed for me after a serious accident in 2008. During recovery, I started working with a personal trainer — and for the first time, things actually clicked.
Not because of some magic workout.
But because of the structure. The accountability. The consistency. The fact that someone was there, guiding it properly… and making sure I didn’t quietly give up when it got hard.
That experience completely changed how I saw training — and led me to qualify as a personal trainer myself.
Joining forces with João was one of those moments where things just… aligned.
Same standards. Same approach. Same belief that good coaching should be simple, structured, and actually enjoyable.
We just went about it slightly differently.
He’ll say I’m the calm one.
I’d say he just talks more.
Somewhere in the middle is where NSFW lives — and our energy simply works.
The approach has stayed simple:
Build a body that looks good now… and lasts.
What matters most to me is helping people feel confident in themselves again — not just physically, but in how they carry themselves, how they show up, and what they believe they’re capable of.
And the best part?
You don’t have to figure it all out on your own anymore.
Because when you train with us, you’re not just getting a programme.
You’re getting structure, support… and two coaches who are fully invested in getting you there — making sure everything is done properly and that you actually enjoy it.
When people ask me what I do, I usually give the same answer:
I help people realise who the f— they are.
